The Power of Copy and Persuasive Writing
Today I want to talk to you about the power of copy and persuasive writing, which allow you to close deals in the blink of an eye.
My partner is a real estate consultant and the other day he asked me to help him describe two rural houses with land that he had just bought here in Braga. As I listened to him explain the potential of these two properties, I quickly realized that words had to translate very well what he was seeing.
The big challenge was now to write a captivating text that, once published on the main real estate sales platforms, would attract the right client. So we decided to join forces and bring the value of the two houses into the world of writing.
Attracting the right customer and challenging them with words to buy a product or service is always a huge challenge: especially for those who are dedicated to attracting others through words.
So I sat down with him and advised him to list all the advantages of the two houses first. I told him:
– Firstly, we’ll go through the advantages of the houses: light, space, land, investment potential…
So he did. He categorised everything until he had a very comprehensive view of the potential of the two houses with land: and what advantages! One of them, linked by a windmill, had all the conditions for high-quality tourist accommodation.
Then we opened Word and began to compose the text. Cut here, cut there, take from there and there and voila: the description of the houses was born after a storm of ideas.
Today, when I got home a few days later, he told me:
– The texts are having an effect. I’m getting leads.
Well! Writing is absolutely so profitable at so many different times and in so many different circumstances that we sometimes forget the power it represents in our daily lives.
I sincerely hope he closes the deal, after someone has been enchanted by one of the houses, carried away by the magic of words.
So let’s write better and in a more engaging way?
